Alia's Picture Essay

For our film, Behind the Ink, will consist of a collaboration of interviews, B-rolls, and pictures to increase the feel into the film we are producing. Everyone thinks that people get tattoos because they are pressured into it, or that it is the new "cool" thing. Behind every tattoo illuminates a story, and we will illuminate the stories behind some tattoos. Although majority tattoos may not have a story, they may favor an animal and want to get it tattooed on them, but in that case we will learn the story about how their love for it was obtained.

Review of To Be Heard

One would think of poems, to be just a regular piece of writing. But this film makes it so much past that. Before I saw this film I thought poems were just any size paragraph, that has to be about one thing. They showed how a poem can be like a story, it can be about everything. They put their feelings into reading the poem. They talk about reality and the truth. The B-rolls were excellent, it really helped put the mood into the film. I love how they were able to express how they feel through poetry, and writing.

The Poem de Alia !

You know how a teacher tells you no cheating, or no peeking at other people's tests? Imagine if the test was like your lover; whom you loved very much. And if you were caught cheating, you'd get a zero. Would you still cheat?
Test

I am your test.
This is your test.
No talking
No looking around
No questions
Just do the test.
I don't understand
Wait.
Why?
Why did you look at the other person's test?
You cheated.
You're a cheater.
You cheated on me.

Creep by Laith Bahrani

The film I watched is called Creep by Laith Bahrani. It's a music video to the song Creep by Radiohead. The film is a short animation film about a man whom is at work and he's not happy from where he's at. From my opinion of this short animation film is that the man in the film has a lot of potential, although he feels as though he's not where he belongs and doesn't feel comfortable. Certain people whom have unique personalities should be with others with those same pieces of personality. He wasn't with people that he matched with, so he felt that he was a weirdo in that kind of community. This is important because you shouldn't feel out of place, and should be with people who do similar things that you do.
